MASc and Postdoctoral Researcher: Pulp Refining
Project Description: Reducing energy consumption in pulp refining requires a comprehensive understanding of the underlying processes. This project focuses on the fundamental mechanics of low-consistency refining. A set of piezoelectric force sensors will be implemented in a low-consistency refiner to explore how varying operating conditions affect bar force profiles. This project is conducted in collaboration with the University of British Columbia (UBC).
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Research background in pulp and paper, and data analysis (preferred)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
